Uncle Blake

The kids love to wrestle and play with uncle Blake.  Porter decided that he wanted to try a new trick in the middle of their wrestling match.  They actually had pretty good balance although my photo skills only caught the falls.  They also had a bit of a water fight.  They had a fun time playing!  He seems to have energy to play when the rest of us are worn right out.  What a great uncle!

Pioneer Day

Dad had to work for the day, so we went to the local parade and then to the park and enjoyed a few holiday activities.  Then that night we were able to enjoy a park concert with one of my favorite musicians, Peter B.  There was a family sitting near us and the kids were blowing bubbles.  It completely entertained the kids, popping bubbles was the greatest activity ever invented, at the time.  Then we ended by watching the city fireworks from our front porch and ate popcorn and nachos. Then we all headed to bed and were asleep within a matter of minutes!  It was a fun day.

Carwash

What defines a successful car wash?  At our house It just includes lots of water, wet kids and smiles.  The car actually did look a little better when we finished and so did the bikes and wagon!  Then topping off with a little popsicle.

Bob the builder

We had a local safety day for kids in which bob the builder came.  Then the kids did a few safety things with the firefighters, seat belts, lifejackets, helmets and calling 911, lets hope they don't practice that one.  It was a good saturday activity before jobs.

The Rodeo

We went to the rodeo on Friday night.  It was a lot of fun!  The kids actually sat through the entire thing.  It was entertaining, and the bulls were tough, a couple of good cowboy throw's and clown tosses.  Those cowboys are crazy!  We had VIP seats and were able to sit right above the chutes.  The kids loved it.

Royal Birthday

The Princess Turns ONE!!!!!
Well, it is official.  We have a one year old around the house.  She is one spoiled little girl, and has loved her toys and new big girl stuff...  Or girl stuff in general, I should say.  We had a low key day, breakfast with the candle in it of course, then we went to the park for a while, picked up lunch on the way home, Taco Time; she loves the tater tots.  Then we did dinner and played more followed by cake and shower and bedtime.  She was worn out.  Literally falling asleep in the shower.  Happy Birthday Reese.

We had a Great 4th of July.  It started with the Kaysville 5K Run.  I don't know how I got roped into running it, but hey, it was good for me.  My mom, Kristy, Paul and I all got up at the crack of dawn and were the first few at the race.  I wish I could say that about me and the finish line. However we did better than I expected.  Paul did pretty much blow us away!  Then we did the whole Kaysville parade and back for naps.  Then we went to dinner @the OGCC, and headed home for some earlier home fireworks.  Probably good we didn't do the whole big show.  Reese was pretty astonished by the whole event.

Popsicle time

Summertime equals daily popsicles. So I try and buy sugar free and fruit bars. The kids would eat 5 a day if I would let them.

Family Night

We decided to venture up the canyon, where everyone, mostly college students, like to float down the canal. I couldn't find tubes with the hole covered in the middle, We decided the water was to quick and trent would need to have both kids on his lap, cause there was no way I was going to go. The water was darn near liquid nitrogen... freezing!!!! So, the princess and I relayed to the pick up point and picked them up. The only casualty was the loss of one of Trents flip flops. It was an adventure anyway, and we will know better what to bring next time.
